Representative Mathias is a practicing attorney for the past 32 years with offices in Arlington Heights. His wife, Rita, is a teacher in School District #96 and he has married sons, Elliot, graduate of Northwestern University and Scott, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He and Rita have two grandchildren.
